We are licensed for Skilled Nursing while still providing an assisted living environment. This allows us to provide the highest level of care but also tailoring around each individuals wishes and needs. This allows all of our guests to essentially “age in place”, which means that we are able to meet the same needs for our guests regardless of a guest condition change. We want our guests and families to know that we are setup to work around their needs, not the other way around.
Not only is Mari de Villa Family owned, but it is family operated too. We are all actively engaged on a daily basis with all of our guests, families and staff.

License Examples
In Missouri, Assisted Living facilities are mandated by state regulations to maintain ‘adequate staffing’. The interpretation of ‘adequate’ can vary, so it’s crucial to assess each facility’s staffing levels for optimal care. Skilled nursing facilities, on the other hand, must adhere to a minimum staffing requirement. Specifically, during the day shift (7am to 3pm), there must be at least one personnel member for every 3-10 residents.
Take Mari de Villa as an example. With a resident census of 120, we employ 19 nursing staff members during the day shift. When considering our entire staff roster during this shift, the number rises to 41, surpassing even the strictest staff-to-resident ratio required by Missouri. Notably, Mari de Villa is licensed for 224 skilled residents. However, due to our commitment to private rooms, we reach our capacity with 130 residents.
Understanding what’s covered in care packages is also essential when comparing facilities. Assisted Living establishments are designed to assist residents, which means not every service may be included in the standard package, and certain items and services may incur extra charges.
In contrast, Mari de Villa takes an all-inclusive approach for guests in our Skilled Nursing program. Our senior living residents can enjoy a range of services— from care, meals, and transportation to wireless internet, cable television, and housekeeping— without worrying about additional charges.
